Canada Strengthens Immigration Integrity with New Regulatory College

Today, the Honourable Marco E. L. Mendicino, Minister of Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship, announced a pivotal development in this ongoing effort: the official opening of the College of Immigration and Citizenship Consultants on November 23, 2021. This institution will serve as the authoritative regulator of immigration and citizenship consultants nationwide, enhancing oversight and clamping down on fraudulent activities. Operating as an arm’s-length entity, the College aims to protect both the public and ethical consultants from those who prey on the vulnerable.
