While the federal program is comprehensive, Quebec offers its own unique pathway under its Self-Employed Visa program. This program is tailored for those who wish to settle in Quebec and requires applicants to have at least two years of relevant work experience. Notably, this program does not cater to professions in specific sectors, such as payday loans or the adult industry.
Additional Requirements for Quebec
Applicants to Quebec's program must meet several additional criteria, including:
- A minimum net worth of $100,000.
- A secondary school diploma.
- Proficiency in French at a level of at least 7.
- A start-up deposit, which varies depending on the geographical area within Quebec.
