Canada and Italy Forge New Pathways for Youth Mobility

Francesco Sorbara, Member of Parliament for Vaughan–Woodbridge, announced today on behalf of the Honourable Sean Fraser, Minister of Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship, the implementation of the Canada-Italy Youth Mobility Agreement. This significant accord expands the horizons for Canadian and Italian youth, emphasizing the importance of international work and travel experiences.

The Canada-Italy Youth Mobility Agreement introduces several pivotal elements:
- Age Eligibility: Youth aged 18 to 35 can now benefit from the program.
- Duration: Participants can work and travel for up to 12 months per stint and are allowed to partake twice, totaling 24 months.
- New Streams: The inclusion of the International Co-op and Young Professionals streams enhances opportunities for gaining professional work experience abroad.
