Canada Welcomes Highest Number of Francophone Newcomers Since 2006

In a significant announcement made at École secondaire catholique Franco-Cité in Sturgeon Falls, the Honourable Sean Fraser, Minister of Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship, alongside Marie-France Lalonde, Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister, and Marc G. Serré, Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister of Official Languages, heralded a milestone achievement for 2022. Canada successfully met its target of welcoming 4.4% of French-speaking immigrants outside Quebec.
