Canada Eases Pathway to Permanent Residency for Caregivers

New Changes Announced
In a significant policy shift, the Honourable Sean Fraser, Minister of Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship, announced through MPs Salma Zahid and Rechie Valdez, a reduction in the required Canadian work experience for caregivers seeking permanent residency. Effective April 30, 2023, the required timeframe will drop from 24 months to 12 months.
