Canada Welcomes Afghan Refugees: A New Chapter Begins

Halifax, Nova Scotia (December 8, 2021) — As a key player in the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) and a staunch advocate for global peace and security, Canada is spearheading efforts to resettle Afghan personnel who were evacuated during recent conflicts. While about 100 of these new arrivals will make Nova Scotia their new home, the remainder will disperse to various communities across Canada.
